Fire and Driving

Saturday was a bit "interesting".

First, we sat around for the first part of the day. Around12:00n., We went outside to do some yard work. I cleaned the breeze way and the patio. Nathan and Malachi raked leaves out from around Mom's azela bushes. And Dad was trying to fix a water faucet outside. He had to turn off the water for the entire house.

We pulled up carpet several weeks ago. Dad lit the carpet on fire outside, and went to Lowes to buy something.

Still, no water.

What do you think happened?

The fire spread!

It was getting far out! It got up against our house at one part and against our air conditioner unit. Malachi and Nathan ran over with their rakes and me and Mom were with shovels trying to stomp it out. Nathan discovered that there was water in the ditch. So me and Nathan were running back and forth from the ditch to the fire with buckets of water trying to put it out. We finally got it all out, except were the carpet was. Since fire doesn't go over what it's already burned, we left it there. Most of our side yard it black!

The title says, Fire and Driving.
The driving part, well I got my permit Friday afternoon.
My only concern is that I don't hit anything....

  2. Ha ha ha! I'm glad Nathan thought of that!

As for the driving thing, I think you will be just fine.

PS. Do you know what "fine" stands for?

  3. Stacy,
Which are you referring to as scary? The fire or me driving.

    :P

    Hannah,
No. What does it stand for. I think I've been told, but I can't remember.
