Last Post of the Year

I can't believe today is the last day of 2009! This year has gone by very quickly! I always love that moment of:

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - (then everybody screams)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!

I'm anxious to see how the Lord works in 2010.

This is a hymn I've had on my mind lately:

Before Jahovah's awful throne,
Ye nations bow with sacred joy;
Know that the Lord is God alone,
He can create and He destroy.

His sovereign power without our aid,
Made us of clay and formed us men
And when like wondering sheep we strayed,
He brought us to His fold again.

We are His people, we His care,
Our souls and all our mortal frame;
What lasting hours shall we rear,
Almighty Maker, to Thy Name?

Holidays, do they really matter?

The holidays are here! People rushing into stores trying to get that perfect gift before its sold out; People cleaning and cooking for all the guest; decorating the tree and putting up Christmas lights. Do very many people ever stop and think, What Christmas is really about, Christ? No. They are so busy trying to please other people and themselves! Do all the presents and stuff really matter? No, they do not! You may find pleasure in the thing you get and the excitement... but that all fades away... Spending your Christmas (and everyday forth) honoring Christ in everything you do, is the satisfaction that will remain with you! Sure it's exciting to get presents and see family, but not as exciting as honoring Christ and seeking the beauty of His face!

People get so over excited and overwhelmed, that they never stop and think which is more pleasing. Christ.

I thank God for sending His Son! It's so breath taking! It makes me cry with a joyful song in praise of Him!

It's Amazing, isn't it?

He's the God of all Gods, the King of all Kings!
He's the great and mighty maker of all things!
Yes, He's God of all Gods,
And Lord of all Lords !
Choose to give His Son for you and me!
What a GREAT, God of all is He?

What a Savior!

Man of Sorrows! What a name
For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned he stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless, we;
Spotless lamb of God was He:
Full atonement- can it be?
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die,
'It is finished' was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high:
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

When he comes our glorious King,
All his ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we'll sing:
HALLELUJAH! WHAT A SAVIOR!
